Britney Spears opted for a low-key celebration for her 30th birthday.
The Criminal superstar went ice-skating in Houston with rumoured boyfriend Jason Trawick on December 2, as her celebrity friends sent her birthday messages throughout the day.
Lady Gaga and Justin Bieber phoned to congratulate the singer, while Nicki Minaj and former *NSync-er Lance Bass - who jokingly called his old pal "grandma" - posted birthday videos to her, reported People.com.
"Happy birthday to the beautiful Miss Britney Spears! Welcome to the 30's club, Brit!! I wish you all the best for this next year and beyond. You're going to love your thirties! I love you and hope you have a magical day," Kim Kardashian told the pop star via Celebuzz.
Rihanna, Katy Perry, Kesha, Heidi Klum, Miley Cyrus and Ryan Seacrest also sent well-wishes.
Britney read many of the messages and videos while in bed on her big day with her sons Preston, 6, and five-year-old Jayden, before dropping her thanks on Twitter.
"Thank you girl. Max is so cute! Miss you. Xxoo," she responded to her former Mickey Mouse Club mate Christina Aguilera.
Lance also got a special note: "You knew me when I was celebrating my 18th! Wow. Feels like yesterday," she wrote.
The birthday celebrations won't continue for long, as Britney is set to close her world tour in South America this week.
