Rat milk can help save our planet, insists Heather

Heather Mills launched her new vegan campaign yesterday by asking: "Why don't we drink rat's milk?''
The estranged wife of Sir Paul McCartney posed the question at the launch of a campaign by animal rights organisation Viva, which claims that dairy and meat products are a major cause of greenhouse gases.
The campaign includes a billboard images of Mills beside the slogans, "Hey Meaty, you're making me so hot!'' and "You haven't got a leg to stand on!''. The latter is a reference to hypocrisy by environmentalists.
Addressing dozens of journalists and a handful of bemused tourists in Hyde Park, Mills claimed "There are fields of grain just miles from starving children in Africa, being shipped to Europe to feed our livestock.
"There are 25 alternative milks available . . . Why do we not drink rat's milk, cat's milk or dog's milk?''
The mobile billboard used at the launch a giant poster for a domestic violence hotline when it arrived, which was then removed to reveal the Viva ads.
Leaked legal documents alleged that former Beatle Sir Paul had been violent towards his wife.
However, a spokeswoman for Mills said the presence of the domestic violence poster was coincidental.
