Model Rachel Hunter and ice hockey star Jarret Stoll have called off their wedding and decided to split, it was confirmed yesterday.
Canadian Stoll (27) popped the question last year to Hunter, who is more than a decade his senior.
The couple had planned a star-studded wedding in two months' time, with the guest list reportedly including Michelle Pfeiffer and Sharon Stone.
A statement issued on behalf of Hunter (39) who was previously married to singer Rod Stewart, said it was an "extremely upsetting" time.
The statement, issued by Can Associates, said: "The August wedding of Rachel Hunter and Jarret Stoll has been cancelled and the couple have decided to split. We ask you to respect Rachel and her family's privacy."
