WHILE other women her age might opt to dress for comfort, Madonna performed last night in thigh high boots and no less than three haute couture outfits at the Super bowl.
It was billed as the biggest performance of her life, and with an audience of 111 million viewers, the singer who was old enough to be a mother and grandmother to some of the players, showed them how it’s done
Unlike Christina Aguilera, who fumbled the words during her performance last year and Janet Jackson’s infamous wardrobe malfunction in 2004, there was no mishaps during the Material Girl’s 12 minute performance last night.
Madonna who was lashed by Elton John last week when he claimed she would lip sync through the performance, appeared to sing live, but it wasn’t confirmed by the organisers.
As well as singing hits from her back catalogue including Vogue, Music and Open Your Heart, Madonna, performed with Cee Leo Green, LMFAO, Nicki Minaj and MIA, showing that at 53 she still can perform like a Duracell bunny, albeit a sexy bunny.
The highlight of the performance was a rendition of Like A Prayer with a stage full of gospel dancers.
