Matt Damon got so hungry while filming in London he jokingly offered waitresses a kiss in exchange for a pizza.

The Bourne Ultimatum star was struck by overwhelming hunger pangs while shooting Clint Eastwood's new movie Hereafter on location in London's Leadenhall Market, but all the shops were shut at the director's request.

Matt, who had been filming since 7.30am, begged Pizza Express servers to reopen and cook him an American Hot, promising them kisses and a photograph with them in exchange for food, The Daily Star reports.

Staff eventually bowed to the Hollywood star's pleas and passed him a box through the door which he gobbled up while sitting down on the kurb.

Matt, 39, and Clint, 79, recently worked together on Mandela movie Invictus, co-starring Morgan Freeman, and their latest collaboration is from a script by Peter Morgan, who wrote The Queen and Frost/Nixon.

The supernatural thriller centred on three people - a blue-collar American, a French journalist and a London school boy - who are touched by death in different ways.
