Suffering from Lindsay fatigue? Bored of Britney? Don't panic. We understand that the appetite for damaged female stars is a ravenous thing. We know the force of the hunger for fresh new blood which feeds the monstrous beast of our collective schadenfreude.
There are, after all, only so many paparazzi-documented misfortunes we can celebrate in one young, high-profile ingenue before we start itching to move on to someone else.
And so, just as the news of Mischa Barton bouncing back from being sectioned has begun to get old, another young have-a-go has popped up to divert our attention.
Take this worldly-wise expression of public relations strategy recently expressed by one dewy and fresh-faced Chloe Madeley. Just 22, she is the precious daughter of couch-dwelling media institution RichardandJudy and owner of a camera-friendly pair of long legs.
"I look at people like Peaches Geldof and Kimberly Stewart who have made a career and a fortune for themselves in a short space of time," quoth the little poppet. "It makes me think maybe I should become more of a party girl."
Which may go some way towards explaining why, in the last few months alone, she's already been arrested for crashing her car while under the influence (a move that has become such a rite of passage for any ambitious young starlet that it should henceforth be known as the celebutante DUI) and has been photographed apparently taking a hit off a bong.
Her parents are no doubt grateful that the execution of this dissolution has so far been a bit home counties in flavour, (she was driving a Peugeot not a Ferrari and getting her rocks off with a class C). Still, it's sailing a bit close to the wind. Somebody should tip off Max Clifford.
