Jonny Lee Miller is set to star as Sherlock Holmes in a new TV drama in the US, according to reports.
Deadline said that the British actor - who recently starred on the London stage with fellow Holmes star Benedict Cumberbatch - will play the lead in a pilot for the US network CBS.
The drama, titled Elementary and based on the books by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, will feature the sleuth now living in New York City.
Jonny recently shared two roles in the London stage version of Frankenstein with Benedict, who played the detective in the BBC's recent hit series of Sherlock.
Jonny, who recently played the lead in the ABC drama Eli Stone, will next be seen in gothic-horror flick Dark Shadows, directed by Tim Burton, and Neil Jordan's vampire film Byzantium.
