They are the longest-serving centre partnership in world rugby -- Gordon D'Arcy and Brian O'Driscoll have played at number 12 and 13 for Ireland on nearly 50 occasions.
And now the Ireland and Leinster friends will have something else in common -- both chose the first Friday in July for their wedding.
Gordon (32) and his model girlfriend Aoife Cogan are holding their wedding at Castle Leslie in Co Monaghan on July 6 -- two years after Brian married Amy Huberman.
Brian and Amy married on Friday, July 2, 2010, at Lough Rynne, another historic castle.
As a professional player, Gordon's summer calender wedding options are tight.
The Irish team will be touring New Zealand in June and the Leinster squad go back training in August so early July was the optimum time.
Aoife, who was crowned Miss Ireland in 2005, cannot be blind to the hype that the nuptials between a rugby hero and his model fiance can generate.
Nerves
However, she was displaying no pre-wedding nerves yesterday as she modelled at the launch of the Coast spring-summer 2012 collection at the Cliff Town House on Dublin's St Stephen's Green.
The high-street chain have launched some stylish wedding dress options but Aoife didn't appear to need any inspiration for her dress as she modelled yesterday and she disclosed how the couple have sorted the two biggest wedding decisions of all sorted -- the date and venue.
Wexford-born Gordon and Aoife who comes from Castleknock in Dublin were dating for a year and a half before they got engaged on holidays in Menorca last summer.
Always a loyal attendee at Leinster and Ireland games, Aoife will be a no-show on Saturday when Ireland play Italy in Dublin.
"I can't go because I have a shoot on Saturday but I will be at the dinner afterwards," she said.
Expect her to be wearing something glamorous at the post-match dinner; maybe one of the elegant, romantic dresses in tutti frutti colours from the new Coast collection .
