THE model who allegedly had an affair with England captain John Terry is unhappy about the impact on the soccer star's wife, Toni.
Yesterday, Vanessa Perroncel's publicist Max Clifford said she was also concerned about how the furore could affect both her son and her former partner, Wayne Bridge.
"I know that she was speaking to Wayne," said Mr Clifford. "She speaks to him all the time and obviously she is upset because he is upset.
"She's upset because of the way that Toni must be feeling and she's not happy that a close friend of hers, possibly -- I'm hoping to find out who it was -- has betrayed her nationally in such a horrible way.
"So she's not feeling particularly happy about all of this and if this had been down to Vanessa, none of this would have been in the public domain."
Mr Clifford said she was determined to protect Jaydon, the three-year-old son she had with Wayne Bridge, and was doing everything possible to make sure the child remained "unaware" of the media furore.
The publicist dismissed suggestions that the French lingerie model was in love with the Chelsea and England defender, saying: "That's not the impression she's given me."
He said, however, that she and John Terry had been "close friends" for many years.
Mr Clifford also denied suggestions that the model had received a "counter offer" from Terry to stop her from going public with her story.
The publicist, who has been handling negotiations on Ms Perroncel's behalf with media outlets bidding for her story, said her son was collected by Wayne Bridge yesterday and taken to his Manchester home.
He said: "Obviously, the pair of them are doing everything they can to make life as normal as possible for their son. He seems to be okay."
Mr Clifford added that the couple, who have yet to speak out about the allegations of an affair, were going through "a very emotional time.
"It's horrible to know you are being betrayed by a close friend. They are all going through a very bad time. It's a very emotional time for both of them."
Allegations
Bridge (29), who plays for Manchester City, will look after Jaydon for the next couple of days.
He and Ms Perroncel have shared childcare since their relationship ended in July.
Mr Clifford brushed off allegations relating to further misdemeanours that have appeared in the press.
He has so far refused to be drawn on whether or not Ms Perroncel actually had an affair with Mr Terry, but has insisted that some claims in the press were inaccurate.A final decision on whether she will sell her story has yet to be made, although six media outlets have reputedly submitted bids of up to £250,000 (€285,000). Meanwhile, England manager Fabio Capello is expected to announce later this week whether Terry will retain the captaincy of the national side, which will be taking part in the World Cup in South Africa later in the year.
