Hillary Clinton is batting hard for Obama. On Tuesday, the NY Senator said that the presence of a woman on the Republican ticket is no reason to vote for John McCain. "I think there are people who are excited by the fact that the Republicans have a woman on the ticket," she remarked. "There's reason for people to see that as a real milestone, but that's not a reason to vote for the McCain-Palin ticket."

That longtime Hillary-supporter Sigourney Weaver was less subtle.

"It doesn't excite me too much that Sarah Palin is running for Vice President," sniffed the Alien actress, "because, to me, she's just Bush in a skirt."
