Reese Witherspoon is one of the world's most recognisable actresses, but that didn't stop Gordon Brown getting her name wrong.
The Hollywood star, 33, went to the House of Commons to call for more Government help for victims of domestic violence.
But the Prime Minister appeared to confuse her with another leading lady, Renee Zellweger, telling the House of Commons at Prime Minister's Questions: "I am very grateful that Renee Witherspoon is leading this campaign."
He added: "She spoke movingly at the funeral of (film director) Anthony Minghella and I welcome her to the House today."
Walk The Line actress Reese - the keynote speaker at a press conference in the Commons to unveil new research on the issue - becomes the 1,353rd person to sign a petition on the subject.
The star said: "There remains what can seem like an impenetrable wall of silence around violence and we must all play a role in breaking this silence."
Reese is in London in her role as Avon's global ambassador to support its joint campaign - Four Ways To Speak Out - with the charity Refuge.
The Legally Blonde actress said she was "so proud" to be part of the campaign.
"Together we can make a difference. Together we have the power to raise awareness, provide support and increase the funding for this vital cause," she said.
