Gerry has visited me in my dreams, reveals Tubridy
Thursday Mar 3 2011
THE late Gerry Ryan visited his friend and fellow broadcaster Ryan Tubridy in two "vivid" dreams to assure him he is okay, the 'Late Late' host revealed yesterday.
During an interview with Gay Byrne on his 2fm radio show, Tubridy said it was out of character for him to recall his dreams so clearly.
"I have had two very vivid dreams. . . they've been very vivid and lucid moments," he said.
"One was him sitting in this chair and me saying to him, 'Are you alright?' and he said, 'I'm grand, don't be worrying'. And the other was two nights ago and he was getting on a train and the door was closing and I said, 'You know, I'm missing you an awful lot' and he said, 'I understand but I'm ok'."
"It's the strangest thing and it's had more of an effect on me than I realise," he told Byrne in conversation about his new 'Meaning of Life' series which starts on Sunday on RTE1.
Byrne revealed that he recently spoke to Martin Sheen about his troubled son Charlie.
"I interviewed him on Saturday and instead of going to Malta where he was supposed to go he was going back to America to pick up the shards of the wreck of what Charlie Sheen is going through," Mr Byrne said.
