tHE idea of Enda Kenny getting angry sounds unlikelier than Brian Cowen actually posing nude or Daniel O'Donnell going on a bender with Shane MacGowan, but it's no April Fool's.
We live in strange times, when Fine Gael's normally uninspiring leader is getting hot under his blue shirt collar and is scrapping at party meetings. First, he had a fight with ambitious young backbencher Lucinda Creighton, which ended with her calling him "patronising" and walking out of the meeting.
When another TD, Ulick Burke, moaned about the way ex-PD leader Ciaran Cannon was brought into the party, Enda told him he had "gone out on a f***ing limb" for him.
His media spinners also said he had no intention of apologising for his outbursts, either. Upsetting young whippersnappers and effing and blinding! Now that's more like it Enda!
At times like this we don't need a meek Mayo primary teacher, we need angry Enda to kick those well-padded bankers' butts!
All the new-look fired-up Enda has to do when Brian Cowen gets evasive in the Dail is to turn a subtle shade of green and warn him he wouldn't like him when he's angry.
