Dad doesn't do handouts, claims Peaches

HE MIGHT be worth millions but Bob Geldof, below, remains careful with the cash, according to socialite daughter Peaches.
The young presenter and model told how she believes her famous dad keeps a tight rein on his purse strings because he's Irish.
The 22-year-old, who now lives in New York, said she does not get handouts from her millionaire father but she said: "He's not a meanie. He's just Irish. My father is so strict with his cash. I don't know where he makes it, or where it goes. It's this big secret.
"Like anyone else, if I was destitute I would go to my father to look after me but I don't think he would give me handouts. It's not like that, sadly."
Bob Geldof was said to be worth about €50m when he last appeared on the Rich List in 2006. The campaigning rockstar may have recently released an album but his large wealth was mainly amassed though his TV production companies.
Peaches also said she is convinced the fiery side of her personality comes from the Live Aid campaigner, even though many compare her to her late mother Paula Yates.
She said: "I'm half-Irish. I definitely feel the Irishness in me. It's the 'Gangs of New York' in me -- the brawler."
The outspoken daughter of the Boomtown Rats frontman was just 11 when her mother tragically died in 2000.
Geldof looked after her and sisters Fifi Trixibelle and Pixie, as well as Tiger Lily, Yates' daughter by INXS singer Michael Hutchence.
Peaches said she doesn't regret any of her wild teenage behaviour.
She told 'OK! Magazine': "They've shaped me so I don't regret them. It's like you have to be sad to be happy.
"You need to have had your share of bad things that have happened to appreciate the good things. If it's just all been fine how would you know?"
She is reportedly set to marry singer Thomas Cohen after splitting up with Eli Roth. She said: "I knew him because his band were touring with my ex-boyfriend's band so we hung out quite a lot."
