I hate to say I told you so. But I told you so.
When your diarist revealed last summer that Lisa Harrison had just been bowled over by cricket demi-god Ian Botham's son Liam, I added that it was only a matter of time before there was a significant announcement. And so it proved.
Last weekend, on the Caribbean island of Mustique, lovely Lisa and her businessman beau Liam got engaged. On Monday night, the beautiful blonde messaged from the executive lounge at Barbados International Airport, where she and her fiance were flying home first class, to say: "Goodbye paradise and hello wedding planning!"
Lest we forget, Lisa – Belfast socialite and publisher of IN! magazine – had a famously on-off relationship with Irish tycoon Mark Kershaw a few years ago. Before that, Lisa did a line with his friend Rob MacNaughton – who is now with Xpose's Glenda Gilson.
Liam's parents, Sir Ian and Lady Kath, met Lisa last November when they stayed at the super-swish Merchant Hotel in Belfast. The four of them attended the IN! Glamour Awards at Belfast City Hall before going on to the after-party in Zen.
"Let me get the ring on first but I think your predictions of a wedding in 2013 are spot on," Lisa texted me in November after the Bothams had gone back to England.
Lisa's future father-in-law, of course, will look almost as good in white as the bride. Is it wicket of me to say that?
