CYCLING is fast becoming one of the most popular leisure activities and the Irish Independent is hopping on board.
Seven events aimed at the leisure cyclist will begin this April and everyone is invited to join in.
The SKODA Cycle Series, in association with 'Fit Magazine', will appeal to all grades of cyclists.
The series is designed to help leisure cyclists and will include events in Wicklow, Kerry, Wexford, Westport and Cork.
All routes have been chosen to incorporate some of the most breathtaking countryside across Ireland and the first cycle will be in Sligo on April 5.
The series -- which will run until August -- has two course distances, ranging from 50-80km to suit the novice and 100-160km for more seasoned enthusiasts.
"I am going to do the first race in Sligo in April and Brian will take part too, it will be a nice thing for us to take up together. It's exercise and gets us out of the gym," Vogue said.
