1 Slippery Elm for constipation or diarrhoea – it works on both. The powdered bark of an elm tree from North America, it is like blotting paper, with a soft, gentle fibre, which will gently bulk a constipated stool. Also like blotting paper, it will absorb liquids where there is diarrhoea.
2 Wild Lettuce has a calming effect and helps quell restless legs syndrome.
3 Hops – good for anxiety and insomnia.
4 Dandelion Root has a mild laxative effect, can also be helpful for hot flushes during menopause.
5 Chamomile calms the nervous system, soothes the digestion, helpful for symptoms of anxiety and also insomnia.
6 Lady's Mantle helps normalise heavy and irregular periods.
7 St John's Wort – useful for symptoms of menopause, restorative for the nervous system and promotes better quality of sleep.
