mckiernan issues challenge for second corporate team 5k
Business advisors Grant Thornton and Athletics Ireland have this week announced the return of the Grant Thornton Corporate 5k Team Challenge which will take place on Tuesday, September 10.
Building on the success of last year's event, the 2013 edition of this Corporate Team Challenge is expected to attract another big entry to the Dublin Docklands race venue.
The event is aimed at encouraging social running amongst Dublin's business community.
Fit Magazine columnist Catherina McKiernan is again an ambassador for the event, and she was present at this week's launch of the Corporate Team Challenge.
"It was a fantastic sight to witness so many runners competing for the basic love of running last year," McKiernan said.
"This event is a great way to attract people into running and in particular the team element, which is another big attraction that the event has to offer."
The target audience for the Grant Thornton Corporate 5k Team Challenge will be both the regular running community as well as beginners. This is a team event and a minimum of four participants will score on company teams.
"We are looking forward to another great evening of running on Tuesday, September 10," Colin Feely, partner with Grant Thornton, said.
"We were delighted with the success of last year's inaugural Grant Thornton Corporate 5k Team Challenge and we look forward to building on that success this year."
