Do you consider yourself to have a healthy lifestyle?
I'm really not that healthy, but I am on that fast diet, 5/2, and I think it's great, and I can do the 400-calorie day fast, as I know it's only a day. It's good also to give your whole body a rest from shovelling food into it, it makes me think quite clearly too.
Do you exercise regularly? If so, what do you do?
I try to go for a walk every day. I walk everywhere in town. But, no, I'm not a gym bunny by any stretch of the imagination. I get so bored. Sometimes I cry in the gym I'm that bored.
Do you do it willingly or begrudgingly?
I'd willingly walk anywhere, I love walking, but breaking a sweat is so unladylike (laughing) – that's my excuse and I'm sticking to it, you beetroot-faced power walkers.
It's not a good look.
What time do you go to bed?
Going to bed and getting up I equally hate. I end up watching the worst true movies late at night so I can stay up. I'm never in bed before 12.
What time do you get up in the morning, and what do you have for breakfast?
I get up around 9 every day, I slowly get myself together, and coffee and brown bread has always been my breakfast (marmalade optional). I'm so excited about telling you all this, I hope your all having a great read.
I normally meet someone and I'll have salad and bread (I know, drop the bread) I love bread. In heaven, bread and crisps have no calories... Its true! Have you ever seen a fat ghost?
For dinner I normally try to avoid carbs, so I'll have some meat and veg or salad and I'll normally have a glass or two of red to make up for the bread. It's balance.
Not really, but I do treat myself to crisps and cheese – they are my downfall. I'm not a chocolate person.
Do you take any supplements?
I go through bouts of taking supplements. My cupboards are like sleeping with the enemy, with vitamins lined up in alphabetical order shouting at me to get healthy. And then sometime I get sense and realise just cut the crap and eat healthy and you'll have all your vitamins
How much water do you drink?
I drink loads of water, I love water, and I'll have a glass for every coffee or red wine I drink so I'll have about 24 glasses of water a day... I'm diligent about this.
Do you have a skincare routine?
Someone once told me that "beauty is only skin deep" so since then I've moisturised, moisturised, moisturised.
I'm allergic to mosquito bites. I hate them but I've had a coil fitted lately so I should be okay now.
My vices are hot whiskeys. I love them. We got them when we were sick as kids normally with a junior disprin and kicked back to the the 'Magic Roundabout' on the TV.
If I could change one thing about my lifestyle it would be...
I'd be a lot more disciplined, I am on the way lately, as I have to get fit for the gig in the Sugar Club because it's not a comedy gig and I want to wear something nice etc.
Katherine Lynch performs songs from 'Settling Dust' in The Sugar Club, Dublin, on October 5. Tickets cost €18 from Ticketmaster
