PATIENTS who subscribe to a private healthcare plan can now avail of 'virtual GP visits' via a webcam.
The HSF Health Plan, which covers 100,000 people, said it can send a link via email to the policyholder together with easy-to-follow instructions on how to connect online with the doctor for the webcam consultation.
"The service also includes the provision of state-of-the-art 3D medical images and health information, which is provided by the GP during the consultation to give the patients a clear understanding of their condition.
"A face-to-face consultation with a registered doctor via webcam is available Monday to Friday from 8.30am to 6.30pm by telephoning the HSF Health Plan 24/7 GP advice line," said national sales manager Roy Smith.
