Follow dreams of being a poet
CARERS of older people, the sick and disabled are invited to enter into a poetry competition.
Now in its third year, the competition is being organised by Caring for Carers Ireland along with the Ennis Book Club and the Clare Three-Legged Stool Poets.
The competition theme is 'dreams'. Poems must be entrants' original work and no longer than 30 lines. Entries will be judged by the Clare Three-Legged Stool Poets.
First prize is a weekend away for two. Runner-up prizes include book tokens and admission to special events of the Ennis Book Club Festival running from March 7-9.
Entries should be submitted by Friday February 7 to Brigid Barron, Caring for Carers Ireland, National Office, 2 Carmody Street Business Park, Ennis, Co Clare, or emailed to firstname.lastname@example.org.
