Ronhill Vizion jackets have undergone several seasons of development, and each time the jacket is getting better. The first point worth noting is the bright fabric, which stands out in any environment, whether it's a city street or in the forest. You get comfort in a fleece collar, lock-down zippers for silence while you run, and extra-long cuffs to cover your hands. On the back of the jacket, you get a small porthole designed to take the Ronhill LED light. Ronhill claims that the new fabric is more water-resistant. Available in men's and women's styles with up to four colour variations.
Pros: Extra-long reflective strips on the back, arms and front.
Cons: The LED is sold separately for €7.
Verdict: Great value for money with good colour options.
SAUCONY PALLADIUM PACKABLE JACKET &NDASH; VIZIPRO COLOUR
This very light and versatile jacket is a good outer shell for cooler days running. Complemented with a hood, two pockets and large panel ventilation, it's a simple and comfortable jacket. The colour, including the stitching, is uniform, so brightness is a key safety feature. Where it is limited in reflectivity, the jacket makes up for it with a lovely fabric, but it's nothing fancy. My main concerns are that the sleeve cuffs are tight-fitting and the ventilation under the arms is not enough.
Pros: Windproof and splash-proof fabric.
Cons: Needs more ventilation under arms and adjustable cuffs.
Verdict: A simple high-visibility jacket with a nice fabric, but could use a few more enhancements to make it more comfortable.
