Don't let obstacles get in the way of your run. Want to tackle mud, walls and all terrains? Well luckily, you can look good while doing all that, with plenty of easy-clean gear available to you.

This spring, Reebok introduces the All Terrain Series, its first running shoe designed and engineered for the sport of obstacle racing. It is made to give obstacle racers the best water drainage, traction and durability to conquer any terrain. The collection features Reebok's H20 drainage system that allows water to drain away quickly. For added comfort and protection, it also features an underfoot arch Rock Guard. All you have to do is simply run, rinse and repeat.

It's time to take your fitness gear from the gym to the concrete catwalk – the street. Launching next month, Topshop combines forces with Adidas Originals in an exclusive collaboration, bringing sportswear to fashion streetstyle.

Fit Hit

Topshop tapped into the brand's archives to reinvent its classics with a modern twist. Whether you want to wear it as a fashion garment or a performance garment, sportswear never looked so chic.

Priced from €35 to €150 online at topshop.com from March 20.

Waterproof Heroes

Brooks Ghost GTX Goretex

One of Brooks' most popular running shoes is transformed by its waterproofing. The sole of this shoe features a very lively Brooks DNA cushioning system along with the lovely soft cushioning foam. This shoe is ideal if you wish to use your own custom orthotics or insoles. Also very universal for walking or running over a variety of terrains. They also have a wider fit.

Pros: The DNA cushion is lovely and soft.

Cons: The GoreTex upper adds a bit of stiffness to the shoe.

Verdict: Very cushioned and comfortable feel, but come in fairly pricey.

Asics GT2000 GTX Goretex

The GT series of running shoes from Asics are a light stability shoe. This type of shoe is designed to control the movement of your foot by providing a firmer section under the arch of the shoe. The unique thing about this is that not many brands would make a shoe with this style of stability that is waterproof at the same time. The GoreTex makes the shoe a whole lot warmer if you decide to go walking or running in milder weather.

Pros: Gel cushioning and light stability.

Cons: You'll need to perhaps get a full size bigger as the GoreTex makes the shoe smaller than normal.

Verdict: Great as an urban walker and running shoe. A reasonable price for a waterproof shoe.

Columbia Peakfreak Enduro Outdry

€120, COLUMBIA.COM

There is always something special and enjoyable about a pair of walking shoes that keep you warm, comfortable and dry. I was surprised by the initial stiff feeling that came from the sole of the Columbia shoes. While it gives you confidence to trample any kind of terrain, they needed a bit longer to become more flexible. In a mild downpour these shoes kept my feet lovely and dry but, most of all, were breathable.

Hit: Excellent waterproofing and a pleasure to wear hiking, walking and running.

Knock: Take a bit of time to break in, but comfortable from day one.
