Now that spring has definitely sprung and holidays are in mind, the thoughts of the dreaded swimsuit season is creeping back into everybody's consciousness.
I don't know about you, but the thoughts of a bikini after a winter of overindulgence gave me a case of the shakes, so three weeks ago I stepped up my training regime. I had mentioned before that I was going to start TRX, and I have.
A couple of you were in touch saying that you had started the resistance training programme yourselves, and I don't know about you guys, but the combination of healthy eating and regular intensive exercise is already paying off for me.
Sure, my muscles are sore, but I am waking up earlier and energised, my skin looks better and the workouts even help my chronic sinusitis.
If you are easily bored and looking for a kick-start, I would recommend trying some form of resistance training, be it TRX, kangoo, reformer Pilates . . . the list goes on.
We are still looking for people to take part in our first-time event diaries. Last year we had an onslaught of applications – I am still waiting for the emails this time!
