This week's edition of FIT introduces the gorgeous Michele McGrath as our race ambassador for the FIT City Series run, which takes place on March 9. Have I mentioned it before, by any chance?

Michele will be lining out along with all our readers for the 5k and 10k event, and I don't know whether I am hoping she brings her MMA star boyfriend Cathal Pendred with her on the day or not – his muscles might prove to be a bit of a distraction.

We have teamed up with Skechers this year – I will be rocking my bright pink trainers at the starting line – and their long-time ambassador Martin Kelly is also promoting our event.

He is the youngest person to have completed all 35 Dublin Marathons to date, and running is quite simply in his heart and soul.

This week, we also look at the hugely popular Dublin Staff Relay, which is a team-building event that just keeps growing and growing. I remember turning up in Phoenix Park on a Thursday evening last year for tag rugby training and wondering what the massive kerfuffle was – turns out it was this super fun event, a 25k relay with plenty of fun laid on afterwards.

If you can assemble the makings of a team, I would advise you to go for it. Your colleagues will not regret the encouragement.

Our nutritionist Daniel Davey is also looking for reader questions to answer in his columns, so if you have any, please send them to: editor@fitmagazine.ie and your query might make the cut.
