DO YOU consider yourself to have a healthy lifestyle? I'd say I have a reasonably healthy lifestyle, but there are times when either I allow myself a little indulgence or I give in to a bad habit.
Do you exercise regularly?
I usually manage to run about 6km three or four mornings a week. I'm not very fast (40 – 45 mins).
In a good week I might manage nine or 10km at the weekend. At this time of year, I also try to cycle to work most days and I use the bike to get in and out of the city.
Do you do it willingly or begrudgingly?
I have to do the running first thing in the morning or it becomes a big battle to get out later. I find it clears my head for the day ahead.
It's still bright when Arena ends at 8pm each night so cycling is much easier at this time of year.
I live in an area with good cycle lanes so cycling to town (about 7km) is easier than driving; there's also no parking issue when I get there. Cycling in the city centre, however, is not for the faint hearted
What time do you go to bed at?
Eleven-ish – though I usually doze off on the couch at about 10:30!
What time do you get up at in the morning?
About 6:15, Monday to Friday, and 8 at the weekends. As Arena means I work evenings, I don't have to get up early, but I am a morning person and I'll get more done between 9am and 1pm than I will for the rest of the day.
What do you have for breakfast?
Coffee, brown bread toasted and maybe an egg. I allow myself a bit of a fry-up at the weekends.
Huge variation – but I do generally cook at home. I allow myself a Chinese or Indian takeaway, generally on a Friday.
