Buzz: App of the week



MapMyHike is an extremely useful companion on a hike or long walk.

It counts the calories that you burn, the distance you travel, the route that you follow and the pace that you set. Best of all, this app will show you on a map exactly the route that you have travelled!

The app will also allow you to share preferred routes with friends and contacts. It is also flexible – you can opt to view the distance and time that you have travelled, or view your progress on a live map.

One drawback is that this app is quite a drain on your battery. You will need to have a fully charged device before heading out or you may find yourself stranded in the middle of nowhere!
