New to the shelf is Aldi's Carlini Extra Virgin Olive Oil.

It makes real health sense to use extra virgin olive oil when you are cooking, or to use it to enhance the flavour of salad dressings, sauces, and marinades.

Extra virgin olive oil is high in both mono-unsaturated fat and anti-oxidative substances. It's always been an integral part of a healthy Mediterranean diet, and helps protect against heart disease by controlling LDL cholesterol levels. Cold-pressed from the choicest fruit of the olive tree, Aldi's Extra Virgin Olive Oil is full flavoured and excellent value.

If you don't have an Aldi nearby, other good choices would be the all good value Tesco Extra Virgin Olive Oil (€4.99/750ml), or the widely available, if more expensive, Spanish Don Carlos Extra Virgin Olive Oil (€7.48).
