IRISH celebrity chef Catherine Fulvio is growing her TV brand in the UK after confirming a regular slot with a high-profile cooking show.
Fulvio will be working regularly on the BBC's popular 'Saturday Kitchen' next year after impressing with cooking slots on the show during the year.
"I'll be back and forth from the UK so it's a great opportunity," the Wicklow-based chef told the Irish Independent. "I first started with them in March when I cooked with (presenter) James Martin and it had over three million viewers so it is exciting."
Fulvio, who is also focusing on her cookery school, Ballyknocken House in Wicklow, will also travel to the States in January to appear on NBC's 'Today' show.
Yesterday, the chef met seven-year-old Andrew Burke who is battling Nephrotic syndrome, meaning his kidneys don't function properly, at the launch of the annual Fairy and Make-A-Wish Christmas Campaign.
Despite living in Clare, Andrew must travel to Temple Street Hospital on a regular basis.
"It can be very expensive with train fares and buying clothes if he has to stay up in Dublin, but he has been sick for six years now so it has become a routine," said Andrew's mum Leanne.
