This type of 'photo-bomb' prank has been the centre of much media attention lately, particularly when rugby Lions star Manu Tuilagi was criticised for ruining a group photo with Prime Minister David Cameron.
The 22-year-old Leicester centre was branded a "complete and utter prat" by sports colleagues for his actions – but it is unclear what the Irish contingent thinks of Mr Kenny’s efforts here.
The Mayo politician appeared to be in a more jovial mood than the previous week at Croke Park when Dublin stole his county’s chances at claiming the Sam Maguire Cup.
But he doesn’t seem to be showing much interest in the nail biting match final between Clare and Cork.
