Michaela Hogan from Austria is going into her final year as a geography and sociology student at Trinity College.
"I loved Dublin and the college when I came, and I have some family here."
Michaela, international student officer of the student union, said: "Trinity College welcomes international students well. There are orientation meetings, receptions and peer mentors.
"The best way to meet people is through the college societies. I am a member of the Trinity College water polo club. It is not just about the sport, but also the social events."
She says lecturers vary in the amount of help they give to foreign students.
"For students whose first language is not English, it can be hard to adjust.
"A lot of lecturers help out, but some could do more. They could put their notes online.
"It can be hard to get everything down as someone is speaking. If the notes were online, it would be easier."
