It's crunch time for medical and vocational students
Last Monday, HPAT Ireland exam results were released to several thousand candidates who have applied to the undergraduate medicine courses in five medical schools: UCD, UCC, NUI Galway, Trinity and RCSI. The HPAT (Health Professions Admissions Test) exam took place last February. HPAT scores (out of a total of 300) will be added to qualified applicants' Leaving Certificate scores.
The Leaving Cert begins now as students start oral exams
As pupils returned to school this week for the final term of the academic year, they have just seven weeks to go to the start of the written State Examinations, the Leaving Certificate and the Junior Certificate. Although we tend to think of the State Examinations mainly in the context of these written exams in the month of June, many elements have already been completed, and various other practical elements will take place from the end of April through May and into June.
