STUDENTS will have been happy with a fair and straightforward Leaving Certificate Spanish Higher Level paper, said teacher Maggie Fernandez of The Institute of Education.
She said the Opinions text was similar to previous years and the Opinions question gave students excellent scope.
“Some students may have felt that parts of the dialogue were challenging, but on the whole they should have been happy with it” she said .
She described the note and diary entry as straightforward and accessible.
At ordinary level, Ms Fernandez said despite one or two challenging parts, this was generally an accessible paper, although students may have found Question 4 in Section A on the accident quite challenging.
“The questions in the written section would have been welcomed by students as they could have drawn parallels with their work for the oral exams at Easter”, she said.
