There was nothing nasty or unexpected in a fair, balanced Leaving Certificate Physics Higher Level paper, according to teacher Pat Doyle.

However, he said students who achieved full marks in Section A will have earned them.

“In Section A, the last part of each question was a little tricky and required a deeper understanding of the physics involved” said the Institute of Education teacher.

Meanwhile, he said Section B will  have rewarded a hard working student

Mr Doyle did query the last part of Section B, Question 6  “a maths question about a golf ball leaving the ground at a particular angle”.

He thought it debatable whether it was on the syllabus and said students may have found it  slightly challenging.
