Cleavage takes a back seat as Oasis springs new collection

A welcome touch of the warmer months ahead greeted The Diary this week as we headed along to the Oasis spring/summer preview on St Stephen's Green.
The high-street store unveiled its incoming range in a re-imagined floral meadow complete with bloom-scented candles and garden-inspired sound effects on Wednesday.
Modelling the spoils were Roz Purcell (pictured) and former Miss Ireland Sinéad Noonan, while fellow fashionistas to attend included TV3's Andrea Hayes and Sinead Desmond, as well as Xposé host Karen Koster.
Cleavage is taking a back seat for the brand in favour of drawing the eye to the flip side of their garments.
Accentuating the shoulders this season, be it via the maxi or mini, design director Clive Reeve has given particular attention to the rear affects of a statement dress.
Of course, Reeve has not neglected the trusty black dress or the sharp blazer, but alongside the tailored looks are playful details in butterfly prints, Mexicana embellishment, neon brights or nods to the Orient.
Catering to their younger clientele this season, Oasis produced the Wonderland range, a compilation of 10 coral dresses with a shorter hemline.
They have also collaborated for the first time with Rebecca Lefevre, a graduate of Central St Martin's in London who specialises in woven textiles.
No doubt we'll see the stylish set sporting the capsule collection when it arrives on the rails in May.
