Some obvious celebrity crimes against naming include Gwyneth Paltrow and Chris Martin's daughter Apple (the name refers to a kind of fruit, apparently).
Woody Allen and Mia Farrow looked to fashion accessories for inspiration when naming their son, opting for the decidedly odd Satchel Seamus.
Richard Gere's son can claim a peculiar name: he has the delightful triple header of Homer James Jigme. Keeping it Irish, we have our own Bob Geldof, whose daughters proudly brandish such names as Fifi Trixibelle, Peaches and Pixie.
My personal favourite, though, and surely one which should have resulted in some kind of criminal proceedings, is the name Jermaine Jackson and Alejandra Genevieve Oaziaza gifted their progeny with: Jermajesty.
