Triona's trends

As many of you who follow me on social media know, I am constantly on the go, whether it's on a train to Cork, or a plane to New York. Having the key ingredients in my handbag is a must. I've absolutely no time for products that don't deserve their space in my bag.

Urban Decay's One and Done, above, €32, is like a hybrid of tinted moisturiser and BB Cream. It's great on-the-go, as it evens out my skintone and blurs my imperfections and pores. It has an SPF 20, so it protects as well.

The Charlotte Tilbury Instant Look Palette, below, €70, is probably the best thing since sliced bread, as it has everything I need in the one container, to make me look good in five minutes flat, even when I'm out and about.

Then all I need is my Armani Luminous Silk Powder compact, €45, for touch-ups, and a little mascara. The new Lancome Grandiose Extreme mascara, €35, gives the most dramatic, full-volume lashes with amazing staying power.

Then I apply some lippie, such as my new fave Kate Moss Rimmel ones, and I'm good to go.

I always have the Nuxe Travel Kit, €18.50, from, when I'm overnighting, as it has all my favourite Nuxe products packaged in a clear plastic wallet - facial cleanser; moisturiser; shower gel; hand cream, and a travel size Huile Prodigieuse, the bestselling, multi-use dry oil. 2016-07-24_lif_22544038_I2.JPG

Triona's trick

Why did Adele cross the road? So she could say hello from the other side! Hahaha!

Oh I love a good LOL, which, by the way, is a great beauty tip. The hormones released with laughter, like endorphins, produce collagen, the best wrinkle-buster. So when you have a good old belly laugh, it makes you look as good as you feel, and it doesn't cost a cent.

My mate Kate

I was in London recently for the launch of the Kate Moss Rimmel 15th Anniversary Special Edition Lip And Nail Collection of the iconic model's all-time favourite nudes and reds.

I got to hang out with the supermodel herself, and root through her wardrobe. The dream sitch!

There are three nail colours, but it's the six lipsticks that I'm going gaga for. They come in revamped rose-gold packaging, and the shades celebrate the different elements of Kate's style, from red-carpet glam to grungy goddess.

Kate paired the Retro Red lipstick, above - a vampy, Veronica Lake-like deep-berry shade; I'm wearing it in my photo, above - with an emerald-green gown by Saint Laurent. She called it her "if-in-doubt dress", saying, "It's a classic dress, and I think that a red lip is a classic look."

Then, she pulled out some Tom Ford strappy heels, in which, she confessed, she'd done a lot of dancing, before saying she'd finish off the look with slicked-back hair and big gold earrings.

In the hood

I've gone all Gwynnie lately - drinking matcha lattes and using very natural products. My go-to-gal for all things diet-and-beauty related is Grainne, who works in Urban Health, up the road from me in Ranelagh, see

I'm now hooked on Fulfil Vitamin & Protein bars - an Irish company, btw - the Peanut & Caramel flavour is the best.

I'm also rather taken with Urban Health's beauty bits, such as their Probiotic Deodorant Stick, €5.95. It contains all-natural ingredients, which are proven to help strengthen your lymphatic and immune system. The combination of shea butter, essential oils, coconut oil and Vitamin E leaves your body smelling amazing, and it leaves no stains on your clothes.

Triona's most wanted

'But I'm actually good

Can't help it if we're tilted

I'm actually good

Can't help it if we'

I am completely and utterly obsessed with chanteuse Heloise Letissier, of Christine and the Queens fame, having seen her perform at Glastonbury this year.

She's quirky and cool; kinda like Bjork meets Michael Jackson by way of Serge Gainsbourg. Go on, Google her!

We play her song, Tilted, every morning in my house at disco time, which is 7am, btw. Maxi, Mini and me bop around the kitchen, singing:

'I'm doing my face,

With magic marker,

I'm in my right place,

Don't be a downer'.

We just love this superstar - which leads me on to Pestle & Mortar's new Superstar Retinol Night Oil, above, €75.95, which I'm also obsessed with. In fact, I adore everything this relatively new Irish brand does. They just get it right - the packaging, the products, and most importantly, the effects on my face!

This is chock-full of cold-pressed oils, from pomegranate and grape seed to blackcurrant and black cumin; plus the perfect dose of retinol to refresh skin overnight.

I can't help but feel how soft my skin is, as I bop around the kitchen, filled full of endorphins, and delighted with myself altogether!

Cult product

My gal-pals and I all agree that if we meet a man wearing Creed Aventus For Men, it makes us go weak at the knees - or 'wake' as my Cork friend Sally says.

So I couldn't wait to try the newly launched Aventus For Her, right, from €145, exclusively at Brown Thomas.

The fruity scent is inspired by history's most powerful women, as well as modern women everywhere, and you guessed it - we're wake for it!
