KLM pilots pulled off a rollercoaster landing during a summer storm in the Netherlands.

A video of the landing, posted by YouTube user 17splinter (below), shows a Boeing 777 lurching from left to right as it zeros in on the tarmac at Schiphol.

The moment before it touches down, a gust of wind causes the airplane to roll dramatically, prompting a last-second correction by the pilot.

A 'Code Red' weather warning was in place in the Netherlands this weekend, according to Reuters, with trains halted at Amsterdam Central, travellers warned not to take to the roads, and gusts of wind of up to 121km in coastal regions.

Dozens of flights were delayed at Amsterdam's Schiphol Airport, during a storm said to be the most violent since records began in 1901.
