The actor was in the capital city to launch his latest fragrance, 'Jack: Piccadilly', and promote Tourism Ireland's new late-season travel campaign.

Grant, who grew up in colonial Swaziland, created his first fragrance in January 2012 after handbag entrepreneur Anya Hindmarch found him sniffing gardenias while holidaying in the Caribbean.

Grant says 'Jack: Piccadilly' smells like "petrol, patchouli and bergamot".

With his perfume PR done and dusted, Grant headed to Trinity College where he launched Tourism Ireland's Smooth Radio campaign with Minister Shane Ross. The €9m promotional campaign hopes to boost late-season travel to Ireland.

The September-to-December period can yield up to 30pc of Ireland's annual overseas tourism business.

Grant shot two short videos around Trinity College and South William Street.

He has previously filmed promotional videos on the Wild Atlantic Way.
