Suite talk: Ekopod, Cornwall
Luxury camping -- aka glamping -- has really come of age.
If you're too posh to pitch, but love the idea of sleeping under canvas in the middle of a field, check out Ekopod, an ultra-cool bubble of style set on a wildflower meadow in Cornwall.
It has the feel of an alien settlement but there are plenty of home comforts in these smooth white domes, which come with their own kitchen, wood-burning stoves and king-size beds.
After a day hiking on the nearby moor, soak in the free-standing bath or lounge on giant bean bags, snacking from the honesty shop.
Every morning, a hearty breakfast hamper packed with goodies such as pancakes and butterscotch sauce, and yogurt with homemade lemon curd, is left down the path along with an evening menu if you don't feel like cooking.
Cornwall's two highest peaks are nearby, there's serious surfing at Widemouth Bay, and the superb Camel Trail is a cyclist's dream.
They'll even collect you at Bodmin train station.
Reopens April. A week's stay starts from £385 (€458) per pod for two including breakfast. See ekopod.com.
