The September 13th flash sale is available across the airline's European network for travel between October and January.

It applies to online fares (ryanair.com) and ends at midnight, Tuesday.

Going to press, sale fares were available from Dublin to Barcelona (Reus) and Paris (Beauvais) from €16.99 each way, while Amsterdam and Ibiza start from €19.99.

“Our one-day seat sale is perfect for anyone looking to book an autumn or winter break," said Robin Kiely, the airline's Head of Communications.

Ryanair carried 11.5 million passengers in August, it announced today.

The airline continues to grow, with 315 Boeing 737s on order and some 116 million passengers predicted this year.

However, it is due to cut 1,600 flights from Dublin next year due to a fall-off in UK visitors and what it claims is the airport's withdrawal of growth incentives.

Dublin Airport says its Growth Incentive Scheme remains in place.
