Her mum features highly in the list of loves for Rebecca Roe while her boyfriend just pips her Jack Rusell to the top friend spot.

The person

My mum, Rhona Roe, who is also my business partner. She gives some pretty good advice and we share a similar sense of humour, which helps a lot when you work with members of your family

The memory

Running the 2014 London Marathon. It was an experience I will never forget. I hit the wall only yards from the finish, but then I saw my family and friends waving and making a whole lot of noise. It got me over the line . . . just!

The moment of the day

First thing in the morning before I head to the office - in bed, with a cup of tea, reading emails on my phone, and answering anything urgent

The piece of advice

Be kind

The song

I love Jack Penate, and Beck, but my favourite song at the moment is Rose Quartz by Toro Y Moi, after seeing them play live in Sydney over Christmas

The movie

Blood Diamond. It made me think long and hard about the transparency of supply chains. I work personally with our manufactures and suppliers in India, and have made some really great friends in the process

The hero

Livia Firth, founder of Eco Age - a consultancy that offers bespoke sustainability solutions - and champion of the Green Carpet Campaign

The drink

It's got to be Champagne, but if I want a cocktail, it's always a whiskey sour

The book

I just finished The Tortilla Curtain by TC Boyle, a story of illegal immigrants from Mexico barely surviving in the shadow of a wealthy community - it's an eye-opening read

The outfit

For work, I wear dark skinny jeans with a shirt, a jacket and a pair of pumps

The accessory

I love The White Company candles, and I always have one burning at home

The gadget

My laser measurer. I can instantly start creating floor plans, sketches and photo-documentation with precise measurements, which I can relay to my iPhone

The pet hate

The throwaway culture

The friend

My boyfriend, Fred. He is incredibly supportive in so many ways and great fun; I am very lucky. However, my Jack Russell, Monkey, is a very close second

The beauty product

My Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturizer, which I wear daily; it has SPF 25 and gives great coverage without feeling or looking heavy

The holiday

I went to India with Fred, and the highlight was Ranthambore Tiger reserve in Rajasthan. We stayed at the Sher Bagh, a 1920s-style safari camp. We saw a tiger chase a leopard up a tree

The hotel

The Corinthia Hotel in London by the late Irish interior designer David Collins; his work is timeless

The bar

There are so many great bars in London, but the bar at the Ham Yard Hotel is one of my favourites, it's always buzzing. I love the interiors - they're the work of Kit Kemp; she has a great eye

The hobby

Reformer Pilates - I love it, and have been doing it for years. I broke my back some years ago and spent time in a brace. Pilates has been fantastic for building up my core muscles

The part of my body

My hands. In my work, I need to be tactile with fabrics and finishes

The celebrity

Kevin Spacey. I am hooked on House of Cards and his alter-ego Frank Underwood

The virtue

I work hard and put my all into every project

The vice

Keogh's crisps

The smell

I love the smell of sweet peas. They're incredibly fragrant and always remind me of my grandmother Phyllis. She taught me so much about gardening, flowers and cooking

The taste

Chocolate: my favourite is Charbonnel et Walker's Pink Marc de Champagne Truffles
