Kildare entrepreneur Ciara Egan admits to being obsessesed with her adorable three-and-a-half-year-old godson and says she can't stand fakeness and listening to hot air.

The person

My little three-and-a-half-year-old godson and nephew, Athan. He is the true love of my life and he makes me smile like no one else. I'm truly obsessed

The memory

When I was little, my siblings and I would go and stay every summer with my cousins, who lived in Cashel, Co Tipperary. I loved nothing more than running through the green fields, climbing old forts and fishing in the Suir with them. I will never lose my childhood innocence

The moment of the day

Drinking my freshly brewed coffee on my balcony in Miami Beach overlooking the Atlantic ocean, contemplating my busy day ahead

The movie

Goodfellas. I love mobster movies; and Dr Zhivago. There's nothing like an old-Hollywood tragic love story

The song

Honestly, since I began living in the US - it's five years now - every time I hear the Irish anthem or Ireland's Call when I watch rugby matches, I'm literally in tears. I burst with Irish pride, and it mentally brings me home every time

The hero

My dad, who simply is the greatest example of a man in every way. He provided my siblings and me with every opportunity, as he worked hard every day.

I couldn't be more thankful.

I love him so much

The book

Sapiens by Yuval Noah Harari; an interesting, provocative and fascinating insight into how we, as humans, act the way we do

The smell

An Irish breakfast frying in the pan in my parents' kitchen on Christmas morning. It honestly feels like the warmest hug

The outfit

I love my beach chic, so I'm obsessed with kaftans by Camilla Franks. I love all my kimonos and jumpsuits. I like to feel sexy and comfortable at the same time

The accessory

My Aquazzura nude suede tie-back sandals. I wear them with everything

The gadget

myCharge - a portable iPhone charging device. As I'm on the phone 18 hours a day, I can't live without it

The pet hate

Anything fake, especially people. I have no interest in listening to hot air or BS. Don't waste my time

The friend

My mum - from a broken leg to a broken heart, she has always brought me back to life! She is my constant

The drink

A glass of Chateau Miraval rose, or maybe a Butlers hot chocolate

The beauty product

Coconut oil. It's the best shimmering moisturiser ever for body and hair, plus you smell like a pina colada! I also can't live without my Eight Hour Cream by Elizabeth Arden

The holiday:

Anywhere on the west coast of Ireland. Also the isle of Capri - my special place in so many ways

The piece of advice

There are myriad things the world could benefit from having more of. Kindness is one of them. When you are a kind person, you're not only helping others, you are helping yourself, also. Be good to people and defenceless little animals. You will be remembered more for your kindness than any level of success you could possibly attain

The hobby

Flywheel spinning classes. I'm addicted! I feel so energized afterwards

The hotel

Monarch Beach resort in Dana Point, California - honestly the best service I have ever experienced from start to finish. And the JK Capri; the views leave you breathless every time

The bar

The bar at The Standard Hotel on Miami Beach, across from my condo; some call it my second home

The part of my body

I guess my eyes - they are truly the windows of this crazy soul. Though they do have their tired moments

The vice

I can be very direct. I don't mince my words. Some people do not like it. Apologies

The taste:

My sister's blueberry cake; it's sinful. My business partner Lisa's guacamole, and, of course, since I began living in the US, all I yearn for is Cadbury's chocolate and Tayto crisps

The celebrity

Jon Stewart, comedian and former TV host of The Daily Show on Comedy Central. Animal protection and rescue is a huge passion of mine, and recently when Stewart retired from his TV career, he opened a farm sanctuary for all homeless and abused animals, from donkeys to dogs. Love it! That's my ultimate dream

The virtue

I started to go back to church recently to simply give thanks for everything. It gives one a sense of community, and I feel pretty fulfilled afterwards
