The TV and radio presenter on why her boyfriend is also her best bud and why her energetic mother is her hero.
My boyfriend, Charlie. We've known each other since we were teenagers. I know it sounds very cliched, but we are best buds
My earliest fond memory is from when I was about four years old. During the long summer evenings, we'd have water fights in the back garden, and splash about in an old-fashioned tin bath filled with water.
The moment of the day
The evening is my favourite, especially now that we're coming into winter time. I love nothing better than snuggling up on the couch with a mug of tea, the fire lit and a big, cosy blanket
I recently watched a documentary on Bill Withers, which reintroduced me to his music. Grandma's Hands is so intimate and beautiful; I adore the fact that it's a platonic love song
Stand By Me - it was the first film that I recall having a lasting emotional effect on me. You laugh, cry, get angry and feel comforted throughout this movie - and what an incredibly talented young cast. It's a masterpiece.
My mum, Anne. I don't know how she has so much energy! She raised a big family, and we all turned out OK. When she was my age - 28 - she was married with three kids. I can barely take care of myself
Brooklyn by Colm Toibin. I had tears in my eyes, about five minutes into the film. I wanted more, so I read the book, which is slightly different. I couldn't put it down
I'm a big fan of a woolly jumper. I picked up a gorgeous cream one in H&M recently, which I'm living in, with jeans and leather boots. For a night out, it depends, but I'm digging the oversized T-shirt/jumper dresses with thigh-high boots. RiRi and Zara Larsson are nailing this look right now
A gold chain that I bought in Montenegro, when I was presenting a travel show for TG4 called O Tholg Go Tolg
I'm typing on it right now - my beautiful MacBook Air. She's so wonderful, and I love her so, so, so much
The pet hate
Bad breath. I know everyone hates it, but I just think to myself, 'Jesus, would you just get a toothbrush and some floss in there!'
I have several wonderful friends whom I adore and can tell anything to, so it would be unfair to choose just one
The beauty product
Transformulas' Miracle Marine Cream. It does a great eye cream too; I cannot recommend it enough
Thailand - I spent five weeks there last summer. Out of all the places I visited, I have to choose Koh Tao. I got to scuba dive here, and rock climb at nearby Railay Beach. Thai food is divine, too!
The piece of advice
You make your own opportunities. You have to work hard, be positive and be sound to people, and then the rest will follow
Espresso Martinis - delicious
I'm more of a holiday-home person. Charlie and I got to stay in his aunty and uncle's Mayo home in Blacksod last year; it was beautiful and so peaceful
Walsh's in Stoneybatter, or the Harbour Bar in Bray
Is shopping a hobby? I just love rummaging around shops and picking up bits and pieces. I love getting dressed up and doing my hair and make-up - I find it really calming, for some reason
The part of my body
Rather than focusing on the physical, I'd prefer to focus on what's going on underneath my skin. I love that I'm ambitious and hard-working. I'm always improving my skills, and I'm comfortable in my own skin.
Beyonce. She's a very clever business woman; she's managed to turn her husband's alleged infidelity into an multi-million-dollar-selling album and a short film. I saw her perform in Croke Park, and I was knocked off my feet by how talented she is
I work hard, but I also play hard
I sometimes doubt myself. I think I can be quite tough on myself
Issey Miyake - it's divine
Chocolate . . . with tea
Blathnaid will present 'Gleasta Chun Feasta', a 10-part fashion series on TG4, airing in 2017. You can also hear her every Friday night from 8pm on 2FM, hosting 'The National Chart Show'
