Stylewatch: FOFO - Fear of festival overload
Published 27/06/2016 | 02:30
FOFO is on the rise. It's the anxiety experienced by those overwhelmed by the sheer volume of festivals on offer this summer. There are so many, how are we supposed to know what's even cool any more? Which one's for the 'respectable' middle-class druggies? Which one's for the tracksuit-clad druggies? Where do you go if juice cleansing is your idea of a bender?
Which one is for the middle-class former druggies who still want to be edgy and also bring their cool dayglo kiddies, Primrose, Eduardo, and Epiphany? Will hipsters even be welcome at any of them?
It used to be so easy: Electric Picnic was for the sensitive alternative crowd, and Oxygen for the shirtless, sunburned young men with Celtic jerseys on their heads - and we all knew where we stood.
Guess we could just stalk television presenter Laura Whitmore - pictured left at Coachella - and go where she goes . . .
