Able to pull off the candyfloss tresses: Vogue

Everyone should get the wacky, quirky style urges out of their system in their teen years, when it's practically a given that we all look somewhat shit.

More often than not, pink hair stripes on a grown woman can look like a cry for help. You never want people to be describing your look as 'zany', unless perhaps you're a children's-TV presenter. And it's exceedingly hard not to look a bit zany when you're sporting stripy Day-Glo hair.

If, on the off chance, you are a pop star with a strong following in the tween demographic, than we get it; you kind of have to look like a Powerpuff Girl in the vein of Katy Perry et al, but for the average civilian, it's just a bit tack.

We'll concede that Vogue, left, for reasons of extreme hotness, can just about pull off the candy-floss tresses - for everyone else, leave the dye job, along with over-plucked brows and bad piercings, to the teenagers.
