PARENTS Vicky Svejdar and Barry Costello have a lot on their plate just now.
They have just got married, are about to move into a new home, and are also saving for when their son Matthew starts school next year.
Ms Svejdar is a radiology nurse in St Vincent's public hospital in Dublin, and Mr Costello is a tiler, who also supplies, fits and manufactures cork tiles under the Naturo brand, based in Dublin and Kildare.
Their son Matthew, who is three-and-a-half years old, is currently in Montessori school but will be starting school in 2016. "We are saving for that at the moment.
"We are putting aside €300 a month, but some of the money is also going into our new home," the mum said.
The pair have just bought a house in Wicklow town, with a mortgage provided by Ulster Bank.
"The bank was very good to deal with. The mobile mortgage manager even called to our home in the evening."
They are hoping that the intense saving will end soon now that they have a mortgage and have been married.
