School is already out for secondary students, while for primary pupils it's only matter of weeks.
Which, for parents around the country, also means that the countdown is on to find activities and childminding arrangements that will fill the weeks ahead.
Activities that are both fun and productive are in big demand. From sports to performing arts, computer programming to nature safaris, there's never been a greater range of tailored camps, with many multi-activity ones.
Time and location will be key for many parents along with costs. We took a look at some of the offers.
