Verso-tility the key as Toyota go in search of more space
Now you can, for the first time, carry seven in a hybrid.
Toyota rolled out three fresh models here recently and among them was the new seven-seater Prius+ hybrid.
It is being joined by a new Verso and revised Verso-S (Luna grade).
Prius+ is the first seven-seater (three rows) hybrid here. Toyota is claiming it will return 4.1l/100km (68.7mpg) with emissions of 96g/km.
The second and third rows of seats are tiered 45mm higher in succession.
The lithium ion battery back, much smaller than the more conventional compilation, slots between/under the front seats and therefore does not impose on cabin space.
Major cabin focuses include the excellent Toyota Touch screen.
It costs €34,995 ex-works.
The five-seater Prius versions cost €29,920 and €31,205 ex-works respectively.
The 2013 mid-size Verso people carrier has a revised, lower-emission, 2-litre diesel engine, improved interior, sharper design and better dynamics. This model has had a major overhaul with more than 470 new parts.
Prices start at €25,460 ex-works.
The changes here are to the Luna grade, which gets privacy glass as standard, as well as cruise control.
As the SkyView panoramic roof is now also standard, the Luna grade has been renamed Luna SkyView.
It costs from €17,995 ex-works.
