Sneak preview: BMW plans major changes for the new Mini
THE third-generation Mini has moved quite a bit away in looks compared with the existing model, spy shots published by 'Autocar' magazine suggest.
It looks slightly longer and has increased front overhang.
The new three-door will build on the new front-wheel-drive platform and it is claimed the bigger wheelbase significantly improves the ride quality and handling.
Expect it to have three-cylinder, 1.5-litre petrol and diesel engines; with performance 1.6-litre turbo-charged versions likely to continue in the Cooper S versions.
